Terms of Service

Last updated July 24, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of detaillabs.co and any mobile auto detailing service you book from Detail Lab. Please read them. They include a limitation of our liability in section 22.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Detail Lab ("Detail Lab", "we", "us", "our"), a mobile auto detailing business operating in Boulder County, Colorado. By using this website, requesting a quote, or booking a service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not book with us.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to book a service. By booking, you confirm that you own the vehicle or are authorized by the owner to have it serviced, and that the information you give us is accurate.

3. Service Area

We serve Boulder County and surrounding communities. The current list is on our About page. If you book from outside our area, we will contact you to either arrange something or cancel the booking at no charge.

4. Booking and Scheduling

Submitting the booking form requests a time slot. Your appointment is confirmed when we confirm it by text, email, or phone. Until then, the slot is not guaranteed.

Arrival times are estimates. Traffic, weather, and a previous job running long can shift them. We will contact you if we are running behind. Service durations shown on the site are typical and can vary with the condition of the vehicle.

5. Pricing and Quotes

Prices shown on the site are for the described service on a vehicle of that size in typical condition. Paint correction and ceramic coating are quoted individually after we assess the vehicle, because the work required varies too much to price in advance.

A quote is valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise, and assumes the vehicle is in the condition described or photographed when the quote was given.

6. Additional Condition Charges

Some conditions take substantially more time and materials than a standard detail. These include heavy pet hair, smoke odor, mold or mildew, biological soiling, spilled paint or resin, excessive sand or mud, and heavily stained or saturated upholstery.

We will always tell you before performing additional work and what it will cost. You can approve it, decline it and receive the standard service, or cancel. We do not add charges you did not agree to.

7. Payment

Payment is due when the service is complete unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We do not collect payment through this website. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable tax.

8. Cancellations, Reschedules, and No-Shows

You can cancel or reschedule using the links in your confirmation, or by calling or texting 720-203-7363. Please give us as much notice as you reasonably can so we can offer the slot to someone else.

If we arrive and cannot perform the service because nobody is there, the vehicle is not accessible, or the location is unworkable, we may treat it as a no-show and ask that you rebook. We may decline future bookings after repeated no-shows.

If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will contact you as early as we can and reschedule at your convenience at no charge.

9. Weather and Safety

As a mobile service we work outdoors. Heavy rain, snow, ice, high wind, extreme temperatures, or hazardous air quality may require us to reschedule. We will reschedule at no charge. Safety of our crew and your vehicle comes before keeping an appointment.

10. Access and Preparation

You agree to provide, at the service location:

  • Legal, safe parking with enough room to work around the entire vehicle
  • Access to the vehicle, including keys if interior work is included
  • Permission to perform the work at that location, if it is not your property

We are self-contained and bring our own water and power. If the location makes the work unsafe or impractical, we may need to reschedule or relocate.

11. Personal Belongings

Please remove personal items, valuables, electronics, documents, cash, and anything fragile before we arrive. We are not responsible for loss of or damage to items left in the vehicle. If we find items during a detail we will set them aside and return them to you.

Tell us in advance about aftermarket parts, wraps, custom finishes, sensitive electronics, or anything else that needs special handling.

12. What Detailing Can and Cannot Do

Detailing cleans, protects, and improves appearance. It cannot reverse every condition. The following may not be fully correctable, and in some cases cleaning can reveal damage that was hidden under dirt:

  • Clear coat failure, peeling, oxidation, and paint transfer
  • Deep scratches and chips that reach primer or metal
  • Dents, rust, cracked or brittle trim and plastics
  • Water spot etching and permanently set stains, burns, or tears
  • Pre-existing mechanical or electrical faults

We will point out pre-existing damage when we see it and photograph it where useful. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or for the failure of already-compromised components, adhesives, or finishes during normal detailing.

13. Satisfaction and Remedies

We want you happy with the work. If something is not right, contact us within 48 hours of the service and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct it. Where we are at fault, we will re-perform the affected work at no charge.

We are insured. If we damage your vehicle, tell us immediately and before the vehicle is driven further where practical, so we can document and address it.

14. Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating

These are quoted individually. Results depend on paint thickness, hardness, and existing condition, and we will tell you what is realistically achievable before we start.

Any coating durability period we describe assumes normal use and reasonable maintenance, including proper washing technique. It does not cover neglect, automatic brush car washes, abrasive chemicals, accident damage, or environmental damage such as hail.

15. Photography

We may photograph vehicles before and after service for quality control, to document condition, and occasionally for our website or social media. We do not publish images showing license plates, addresses, or anything identifying you, and we will not use your name without asking.

Tell us before or after the appointment if you would prefer we not photograph your vehicle or not use a photo publicly, and we will honor it.

16. Reviews

We may ask you for a review after a completed job. Reviews are voluntary and honest feedback is welcome. We do not offer payment or discounts in exchange for a positive review.

17. Text Messages

If you check the consent box when booking, we may send you appointment confirmations, reminders, updates, review requests, and occasional offers by text. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing any service.

Message frequency varies and depends on how often you book with us. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We never share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

18. Website Assistant and Estimates

Our site includes a chat assistant and pricing information. Both are provided for convenience and are informational only. Nothing the assistant says is a binding quote or a guarantee of availability. A price is binding only when we confirm it directly with you.

Please do not enter payment details or other sensitive information into the chat.

19. Intellectual Property

The Detail Lab name, logo, site design, text, and photographs are owned by Detail Lab and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, republish, or use them commercially without our written permission. You may of course share links to the site.

20. Acceptable Use of the Site

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, fraudulent, or automated bookings
  • Enter someone else's phone number or personal information without consent
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the site
  • Scrape or harvest content or customer information
  • Use the site for anything unlawful

We may refuse service or block access for any of the above.

21. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information on it is complete or current.

Detailing services are performed with reasonable skill and care. This section does not limit any warranty we give you in writing about a specific service, or any right you have under Colorado consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Colorado law, Detail Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost time, or loss of use, arising out of or relating to the website or any service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

23. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Detail Lab against claims and costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your booking of a service on a vehicle you were not authorized to have serviced.

24. Governing Law and Venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Boulder County, Colorado, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

25. Resolving Disputes

If something goes wrong, contact us first. Most issues are resolved with a phone call, and we would much rather fix the problem than argue about it. Please give us 30 days to resolve a dispute informally before starting any formal proceeding.

26. Events Outside Our Control

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, fire, flood, wildfire smoke, epidemic, utility or network failure, labor disruption, vehicle breakdown, accident, or government action. We will reschedule affected appointments at no charge.

27. General Terms

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a sale or transfer of the business. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about their subject matter and replace any prior understanding.

28. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms in effect when you book are the ones that apply to that booking. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
